Sunday, Sept 5: Angelfood ministry orders will be taken between services (after 8:30 and before 11:00am) and after the 11 am service.  You may also order at the website, www.angelfood.com.  Follow the instructions to place your order.

Sunday, Sept 12th:

Promotion Sunday Celebration–after the 8:30 worship in the Fellowship Hall.

New Bible Study in the Pastor’s study group on the book of Genesis.  Class begins at 10:00 am.

New Sermon Series:  ”Life As A Highway” in both 8:30 & 11:00 services.

Youth Kickoff begins at 5pm in the Fellowship Hall.  Parents & youth are invited to attend.  Dinner will be served to all.

Monday,Sept 13:

Dinner Divas will meet at Poncho Villa at 6:30 pm on Hwy. 17.  All women are invited.

New Bible Study begins at 7pm.  The series is called, “When God’s People Pray.”  This is a 6 week study in prayer.

Wednesday, Sept. 15:

New Bible Study on the book of Genesis begins at 7pm.

Acknowledgement:

The Onslow County Learning Center was very surprised and excited by the abundance of school supplies provided by our congregation.  After talking with Mrs. Walton, OCLC’s principal, I decided to give them a check for $416 that represented the congregation’s monetary donations rather than purchase more supplies with this money.  This way they could purchase what they needed as they needed it.  Mrs. Walton has some great plans for these students and the money will aid in implementing these plans and new programs.  I informed her that our church would be assisting her school throughout the school year, and I told her about our Moms In Touch program that would be praying weekly for her staff and students.  Should anyone have any questions or ideas, just email me!

Ongoing Ministry:

Moms in Touch prayer group for moms with children in school or college will begin on August 27 at 1pm and continue on Fridays at 1pm throughout the school year. Meetings will be held at 2234 Perry Drive in Jacksonville. contact Carol Johnston (934-0683) or Flo Hart (330-3631) for more information.
